The following vacant research post ( related to filed work) are to be filled on a temporary basis ( 1 year)  under the project entitled “Phase III, Multicentre Randomized, Double-blind \, Placebo-controlled Study to Evaluate Efficacy of Probiotic Supplementation for Prevention of Neonatal Sepsis in 0-2 Months old Low Birth Weight Infants in India” (ProSPoNS Study).

We are specifically looking for an eligible Nurse /Field investigator ( Female) to Cover fieldwork in and around (30 km approx.) the following areas

Other important criteria:

1.  Job in involves fieldwork and extensive travel in the specified areas for home visits
2. only female nurses residing in the above-specified areas and able to cover home visits in those areas will be preferred and hence encouraged to apply
3. field visitor should have a two-wheeler and mobile phone
4. Should be able to communicate fluently in Tamil administrate intervention collect data and accompany infant to the hospital if required 

Terms and conditions for the temporary appointments:

1. In general applicants with research experience good communication skills in Tamil and basic computer skills will be preferred.
2. Terms: 1 year
3. No TA /Da will be admissible to appear in the interview
4. Only candidates who can join by 23-5-2022need to apply as the positions are to be filled on an urgent basis
5. These positions will be purely on a temporary basis for the specified period  of time and based  on the project and may e terminated earlier than expected
6. The  appointment can be terminated at any time with one month’s notice without assigning a reason or if the person’s work is considered unsatisfactory by the competent authority
7. If the appointee wishes to resign his/her job he/she has to serve one month’s notice or remit one month’s salary or pay thereof as the case may be proportionate to the shortfall in the notice period
8.  The appointee shall be on a whole-time appointment for this project and shall not accept any other assignment paid or otherwise and shall not engage himself/herself in the private practice of any kind during the period of appointment
9. Since the posts are purely temporary the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments in JIPMET or continuation of/her services in any other project
10. The benefit of provident fund, HRA. CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, etc. are not applicable.
